There is a popular phrase in Silicon Valley, “Fail Fast, Fail Often, Fail Forward.”
Life isn’t about perfection, it’s about making mistakes. Mistakes are unavoidable and failure is universal. This is a fact we all know when we look at an email we’ve already sent. Hey, it looked good those twenty or so times we went over it.
We all fail, and if we all fail, and we fail often, then there is no need to fear failure in the abstract.
I think kids have it all figured out. Have you ever seen them paint? All the materials are set out on a table, which doesn’t matter half the times because the kids just use their fingers anyways. You notice what they do when they mess up and make a mistake? They shrug and paint over it or something.
Remember, we’re here to make mistakes, and this month is a time for us to make mistakes together.
